After many emails we have received in response to the apartment listings posted on our website in its ‘BLOG’ section (and sometimes re-posted elsewhere), those marked with tags: ‘apartment of the day’, ‘for rent’, ‘good value’, ‘on the budget’, and ‘rent it directly from the owner’, we want to clarify what exactly we are doing here. And it is nothing else but sharing our knowledge with our audience by publishing otherwise publically available information. The key is that 1) we know where to find it; and 2) we do it in a selective manner, always looking for quality and value (this is where our subjectivity comes into play, but we hope you can appreciate that). Taking it further, on occasion we are also sharing with you our exclusive tips and ideas on apartment design and decoration.
For now, we only post rental apartment listing information that comes directly from the apartment owners and /or management companies that we have researched on our own. And what is quite important to understand here, by doing what we do, we are not acting as a real estate broker* – we do not represent anyone’s interest, and we are not being compensated for it. We do it so you, the prospective tenant, can rent directly from people who represent the properties in question. So in each post we provide you with direct contact information (a phone number) as well as the source (a website address). The next step for you is to pick up the phone and call them, ask any specific questions you may have, set up a viewing, etc.
Call it a ‘moderated directory’. Selective by design, with quality and value as its two main objectives. Set up to help you in your search process. Use it wisely: make a note of the website addresses we post, go there, and continue searching on your own. Even if the apartment that has originally got your interest is gone by the time you are ready to hit the road and see it, now you too have a direct access to its owner /manager, so be sure you ask her about any comparable units. You may be surprised!
We wish you luck in your search, and when you rent by using the information we provided, please stop by and share your experience in your comment.
By the way, comments are the best way to communicate with us at the moment. Please, do not email us, for (unfortunately) we receive too much spam to be able to sort it out and respond.
